Dear Parents and Carers,
We are now at the end of the Spring Term and the Easter holidays are about to start. Children and staff are tired but with so many happy memories to take with them into the holidays. The learning has been fun, outdoors, indoors and memorable. We look forward to hopefully hosting Sports Days in the Summer Term, when parents can attend and we would love to start our learning cafes again very soon.
Partnership News
We have a lot to celebrate this term. The partnership working really enables a smooth transition across the primary age range for all children who attend both schools. It upskills teachers and leaders and gives an insight into different key stages for all staff. Sam Petchey starts as Partnership Head of George White Junior and Mousehold after Easter. I will remain as Head of School for Mousehold Infant and Nursery School supported by Sam. Thank you for all of your support.
Sad goodbye and thank you to Mrs Abeyta
Mrs Abeyta is very sadly leaving us today. We wish Mrs Abeyta all the best and thank her for working incredibly hard supporting our children. Children and staff will hugely miss Mrs Abeyta.
Thank you to the staff
This term hasn’t been easy as we have continued to manage with fewer staff than we would like due to Covid, illness and other reasons. Staff have stepped up and been very adaptable covering classes and responding to where the need is within school. The staff at Mousehold always go the extra mile for your children. I wish them a well deserved break over Easter.
Absence from School
Please may we ask you to follow our guide lines, if your child is absent from school because they are suffering from diarrhoea and/or sickness they should not return to school for 48 hours following the last episode of sickness/diarrhoea that they experience. Thank you for your cooperation.
