Newsletter 7th July 2023

Dear Parents and Carers,

Well done to our Year 1 children for their excellent ukulele performances to parents and carers. It was a wonderful moment to see the children play as a class team, with such confidence and great ability. They will be great when they learn to play in a Samba band in Year 2.

Speaking of which we a re looking forward to seeing parents and carers at the Year 2 Samba performances on Monday 17/7/23 this will be a real treat.

Next week is transition week where Year 2 children will be spending time at George White meeting their new teachers and spending time in their new classes. At Mousehold we will also be doing transition across the week, where our Year 1 and Reception children will be spending time meeting there new teachers in their new classrooms. Next years Reception children will also be joining us for stay and play sessions across the week.

The Friends of Mousehold School

The Friends of Mousehold would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that came to the Summer Fayre last week. We are pleased to announce that we raised an amazing £978.81 which will be a great help in improving facilities at the school.

Special mentions go to Mr Smith, Mrs Marshall and Mrs Neale for braving cold water and a strong breeze in the ‘throw a sponge’ game, and to all of those that gave up their time to help run stalls. We were also pleased to welcome George White and The Garden Shop who ran additional stalls.

A big thank you for all the prize donations, and to all the organisations that continue to support MIANS: Gressenhall Farm & Workhouse, Norfolk Museum Service, Cromer Museum, Zaks, Places Leisure Centre, Nuffield Health, Norwich Swim School, Thorpe Ferry River Cafe, Roys, Norwich Art Supplies, BookLife Publishing, Jarrolds, QD, The Bowling House, Tesco, Thrigby Hall, Cinema City, memories2treasure, Mortgage Advice Bureau and TNS Catering.
