Dear Parents and Carers,
Well done to our Year 1 children for their excellent capoeira performances to parents and carers. I always feel extremely proud seeing the children perform with such confidence and enjoyment.
Thank you for all your support with transition week where Year 2 children spent time at George White meeting their new teachers and spending time in their new classes. At Mousehold we had transition across the week, where our Year 1 and Reception children spent time meeting their new teachers in their new classrooms. Next years Reception children also joined us for stay and play sessions across the week. It was amazing to see how settled the children were and how much they enjoyed being in their new classes.
The Friends of Mousehold School
The Friends of Mousehold would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that came to the Summer Fayre. We are pleased to announce that we raised an amazing £978.81 which will be a great help in improving facilities at the school.

Safeguarding
As the weather warms up and summer holidays are on the horizon please look after each other.
Some simple things to remember:
- Wear sunhats and wear sun-cream in hot weather, even if cloudy (The irony being that it is pouring down as I type!)
- Wear helmets when riding a bike.
- Remind your children to take care when crossing the road or walking along the path next to a busy road.
- Wear seatbelts in cars.

A message from our Mental Health Champions
Be the Reason Someone Smiles Today…
Picking up the phone and making the time to have a conversation with a loved one,
A simple smile in the supermarket checkout queue to a parent who is looking overwhelmed.
Letting your child choose a game, and giving them your undivided attention,
Calling in on a friend who you know is finding daily life challenging,
An encouraging text to someone you care about,
A conversation at the bus stop with an elderly person,
Taking time to acknowledge the waitress who serves your table with a simple thank you.
There are many people in our world, who walk into each day wondering if anyone even notices them, you may feel like this yourself at times.
