Dear Parents and Carers,
We would like to say a big ‘Well Done’ to all of our Year 2s who have been taking part in their end of Key Stage 1 reading and maths SATS over the past few weeks. They have demonstrated such great perseverance and have done themselves and us all proud. A thank you to the Year 2 teaching team too. Our teaching assistants have been providing consistency and wonderful learning opportunities for classes, while teachers have been delivering the SATS. We can’t wait to welcome you in for the next open classrooms (Friday 9th June), so you can see what we’ve been up to.
We wish you a very happy, restful half-term and thank you for such wonderful support as always.
The Friends of Mousehold School
Our school Summer Fayre is on Friday 30th June after school. All are welcome. The Friends of Mousehold Infant and Nursery School are working hard preparing for the event. It is great that we are able to run this with their help and lots of money is raised for your children and it is always a lovely atmosphere. All proceeds raised will go towards purchasing new outdoor play equipment as our current equipment has unfortunately got to the point where it needs to be replaced. Here is a picture of the equipment we are looking to purchase with the help of the friends
Annual Parent Survey
Thank you for completing the Annual Parent Survey. The results and a summary of responses will be shared on the next newsletter and will also be on our website.
Partnership News
We look forward to next half- term when we have plans for some children from George White to visit Mousehold to see some end of term musical performances (Samba drumming and ukulele) and a Maths event. We have been working together to plan the transition for the current year 2 children to GWJ. We will ensure the transition is smooth for all children and we will arrange extra visits to the junior school for the children who would benefit from extra transition.
Please take time to look at our school websites. You can read about our curriculums and get a feel for both schools:
There is so much to look forward to.
